Tattoo Night with Fleet Feet Columbus and Embellish Tattoo Studio. In place of the regularly scheduled Wednesday evening group run, a race was hosted instead. Working out a deal with the tattoo studio to the effect that if we could bring enough people in to their studio would they be willing to tattoo the top 3 finishers of the dash for free. Everyone besides the top 3 finishers received discounted tattoos.
The course was a half mile. A dash from the start line in the alley on the side of the Fleet Feet building, looping around the block and finishing at the front door of the tattoo studio. Embellish artists designed the flash sheet with runners inspiration. 35 participants for the race with 25 choosing to get tattoos that evening. A new event type of combining tattoo artistry and running to compete for a chance to get theirs for free.
